A Tuscan Dream in Mississippi

You may have already seen this blog by Cote De Texas last week.
We had the incredible opportunity to work on a few custom made pieces
in this home. It was the first job I ever did using Annie Sloan Chalk Paint. The designer was adamant about the look she wanted. When I showed her the ASCP color chart I had brought back from Europe it was a resounding
YES that is it! I ordered 8 liters of both Country Grey and Old White. (Don’t ask how much we paid in shipping!) I later realized I had ordered enough paint to cover most of Mississippi in Chalk paint. We painted everything we could get our hands on in old White and Country Grey. The sad day finally arrived when we ran out. As good living would have it Lisa Rickert of Jolie Designs called me a short while later and asked if I would like to be the first stockist of ASCP in America. The rest is history.

  1. Virginia, When I saw that cabinet on Cote de Texas I knew that was the one you were telling our class about when I was at TSIofFF in my last class because you said the house was HUGE and you had just finished working on it. I immediately knew you painted it. I think the blog post should have given you credit for the work or Joni should do a post on your business. The cabinet looks beautiful!
